Pierre Fontenelle is one of the leading cellists of the new generation. In a short time he managed to win his place on the concert stages, winning a series of competitions and becoming solo cellist of the Liège opera and teacher at the Conservatory of Namur.
Çağıl Cansu Şanlıdağ performs throughout Europe as a pianist and teaches at Near East University in Cyprus.
Pierre regularly plays works by the Halle cellist-composer François Servais. Also on 6 June – Servais’ birthday – two of his duos are on the programme. Servais will be flanked by Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Brahms.
